Drapers Copse Park is situated in a delightful semi rural location between the beautiful village of Hythe overlooking Southampton Water to the east and the New Forest National Park to the west. Both areas are within a mile of the park which is located along Claypits Lane.
This strip of land running from Southampton down to Calshot is called the Waterside Area.
There are a number of local facilities; Applemore Activity Centre is within walking distance, as is the supermarket and Dibden golf course is just a mile away.
The park itself is set within a copse and is a very peaceful and tranquil site. There is a large reception area where residents enjoy communal BBQs and other activities, should you so wish to join in.
Southampton is approximately 8 miles away and there is an excellent regular bus service offering two routes into the city, or you can travel to Southampton via the historic Hythe Ferry which also has a regular boat service accessible either by walking along the pier or by taking the little train which runs down to the landing area. The village of Hythe is full of character, with a pedestrian high street full of quaint shops which cater for every need. A short walk away from the main high street is Hythe Marina which is an ideal place for a stroll and is also a good vantage point for watching the ocean liners making their way in/out of Southampton docks, and across the Southampton water there are views of the eastern side of Southampton, gateway to the River Hamble, and Warsash.
Within a five mile radius of Dibden there is the famous village of Beaulieu with all its attractions, Exbury Gardens, and Calshot / Lepe beaches – both of which have excellent views of the Isle of Wight.
Drapers Copse is a member of the BH&HPA.
